On October 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

“I talked with British Prime Minister Liz Truss. We count on the UK’s leadership in strengthening international political and defense support for Ukraine, in particular in covering our skies. We discussed further decisive actions to increase pressure on Russia,” Zelensky wrote.

The launch of missiles by Russia on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine is a demonstration of “the weakness of Russian President Vladimir Putin, not courage,” British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley said on Twitter.

“I spoke with [Ukrainian Foreign Minister] Dmytro Kuleba this morning to reinforce the UK’s continued moral and practical support for Ukraine,” he wrote.

Today, during a massive attack on Ukrainian territory, Russian invaders fired 84 missiles and 24 combat drones, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed on Facebook. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that they shot down 43 cruise missiles and 13 drones, 10 of which were kamikazes.

Context:

  • Massive rocket fire by Russian invaders touched the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Kharkov, Lvov, Dnipro, Odessa, Khmelnitsky, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Nikolaev, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kropyvnytsky, Konotop.
  • Adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Maryana Reva said that at least 10 dead and more than 60 injured as a result of the morning attack of the Russian Federation are known.
