British billionaire predicted the death of cattle farming in a decade

Posted on July 14, 2021July 19, 2022 By Julee Vox

Growing meat in test tubes and producing milk with the help of microorganisms will replace cattle farms in the future. This was the view expressed on 21 July by Jim Melon, the largest shareholder in Agronomics, an investment company focused on growing meat from cages

According to the British billionaire, plant-based drinks are currently replacing milk to a large extent and methods of obtaining milk through fermentation, without milking cows, are being actively developed.

He also noted that plant-based substitutes and cultured cell products are competing with meat production.

“We already have the products. All we need is scale, money and will,” said Melon.
